In this role, you will assist pharmacists in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care to patients in a hospital or acute care setting. Your expertise in medication preparation and patient support will contribute significantly to the well-being of our patients. Duties Must know PrimeRx [Micro Merchant Systems] Software. Prepare and dispense medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Assist in managing medication inventory, including ordering and restocking supplies. Ensure compliance with safety protocols when preparing and handling medications. Utilize aseptic techniques for IV infusion preparation and other sterile compounding processes. Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles while ensuring confidentiality and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support optimal patient care and critical care initiatives. Provide patients with information on medication use, potential side effects, and proper storage when appropriate. Stay updated on medical terminology and pharmacy best practices to enhance service delivery. Languages English Spanish Skills Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a hospital or acute care environment. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care. Proficiency in medication preparation techniques, including IV infusion processes. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and safety protocols in medication preparation. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong critical thinking skills to assess situations and provide appropriate solutions.
