Your dedication will directly impact patient outcomes by providing efficient medication preparation, distribution, and consultation support. Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions, including IV infusions and aseptic techniques for sterile compounding. Assist pharmacists with medication inventory management, ensuring stock levels are maintained and expired drugs are properly disposed of. Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions, updating medical records, and confirming medication histories. Provide exceptional patient service by answering medication-related questions and offering guidance on proper usage. Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, medical terminology standards, and safety procedures related to acute care and critical care settings. Ensure proper documentation of medication administration, patient interactions, and inventory transactions. Follow aseptic techniques rigorously during sterile compounding to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety. Requirements Proven pharmacy technician experience with a strong understanding of LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy operations and hospital pharmacy procedures. Critical care experience is highly desirable, demonstrating ability to handle complex medication regimens in high-pressure environments. Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and IV infusion procedures. Prior hospital experience with exposure to acute care or ICU settings is preferred. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care and clear communication.
