•30.00/hour $2,000 Sign-On Bonus We are recruiting for an established and growing specialty infusion pharmacy seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join its Syracuse team. This is a great opportunity for a pharmacy technician who enjoys working in a professional, team-oriented environment and wants to move beyond a traditional retail setting. You'll play an important role in supporting the preparation, processing, packaging, and delivery of medications for patients receiving specialized infusion therapies. The position offers a consistent Monday-Friday daytime schedule with no weekends , competitive pay, a $2,000 sign-on bonus , and an opportunity to build your career within the specialty pharmacy and infusion-care space. What You'll Do As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and support daily pharmacy operations, including: Prepare, label, package, and stage prescriptions for dispensing and shipment Assist with sterile admixtures, unit-dose, and prepackaged medications Generate and process prescription batches Enter and maintain accurate prescription, inventory, and shipment information Generate labels, pick lists, and shipping documentation Coordinate with intake and billing teams to confirm insurance authorization before medications are shipped Communicate shipment information with appropriate field and operations teams Receive, unpack, verify, and document incoming medications and supplies Monitor outgoing shipments and confirm delivery Assist with inventory management, medication rotation, and returns Perform and document required quality-assurance activities Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment Participate in training, quality meetings, and continuing education
What We're Looking For Required:
High school diploma or GED At least 2 years of pharmacy experience in a retail, hospital, specialty, or similar pharmacy environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a structured, regulated environment Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements
Preferred:
Pharmacy Technician training program graduate PTCB or other approved national Pharmacy Technician Certification Specialty, infusion, hospital, or sterile pharmacy experience Experience with CareTend or similar pharmacy software Not Certified Yet? You May Still Qualify Candidates who do not currently hold all required pharmacy technician credentials may still be considered . For the right candidate, the employer is willing to provide training and developmental support toward certification and New York State credentialing requirements. The selected candidate will be required to obtain an approved national pharmacy technician certification and satisfy applicable New York State licensure and registration requirements within six months of hire , or within the timeframe established at the time of hire. Until required credentials are obtained, responsibilities will be limited to duties legally permitted for unlicensed personnel under pharmacist supervision. Why Consider This Opportunity? $23.50
