Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Direct Hire A direct hire opportunity is available for a Day Shift Production Pharmacy Technician at a closed-door long-term care facility in Bardonia, New York. This role focuses on preparing and packaging medications to support timely delivery for residents, requiring precision and attention to detail in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare medications using appropriate packaging methods such as blister packs and unit-dose systems Support medication ordering, receiving, and stocking processes while monitoring storage conditions and expiration dates Maintain accurate patient and medication records to ensure compliance and safety Cross-train in both the dosage department and toting functions to support workflow flexibility Adapt to a high-volume workload, processing approximately 600 prescriptions per day
Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum of 1 year pharmacy technician experience is required NY State Pharmacy Technician License is preferred but not mandatory PTCB certification is a plus, though not required Familiarity or willingness to learn Frameworks software system Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Rotating weekends required This role offers the chance to join a focused healthcare team in a specialized long-term care setting.
