The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient supports pharmacy operations at Akron General, providing essential medication distribution and operational services across multiple inpatient care areas. Working within the inpatient pharmacy on the hospital's first floor, this role rotates through a variety of responsibilities including medication inventory management, medication delivery, triaging requests, inventory checks, restocking, and supporting daily pharmacy workflows. Caregivers collaborate closely with pharmacists and clinical teams to ensure medications are prepared, distributed, and available when needed to support patient care. While this position does not provide direct patient care, it plays a vital role in promoting patient safety, medication access, and operational efficiency through attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to high-quality pharmacy services.

- A caregiver in this position will primarily work Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm and participate in an every-other-weekend rotation, with scheduled days off incorporated into the workweek.
- A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Assist pharmacists in filling inpatient orders, including completion of necessary documentation.
Physical Requirements:
- + Ability to perform work which requires constant standing and walking. + A willingness to perform work which has infrequent disagreeable features and safety hazards.
