Pharmacy Technician (Registered or Certified Techs Only)

Gentry Health Services is are seeking a full-time, day shift , Board Registered or Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician for our Closed-Door Pharmacy in Avon Lake, Ohio. This position is responsible for assisting in non-clinical areas of pharmacy operations while providing outstanding customer service to patients over the phone.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Create prescription medication orders from prescription referrals received Perform dispensing and shipment of prescription medication orders Conduct outbound prescription refill reminder calls and setup orders for delivery along with assist in contacting prescribers and patients via phone and fax Investigate insurance billing options to ensure eligibility and coverage for patients Prepare and submit claims to ensure timely reimbursement Resolve account discrepancies and prepare adjustments and refunds for approval Check-in wholesaler drug orders and post into inventory

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

Registered Pharmacy Technician preferred, but not required. Able to obtain by examination, at minimum, status as a qualified pharmacy technician with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy within 180 days of hire date High school diploma or equivalent required Experience in pharmacy support preferred National PTCB Certification preferred Experience in medical billing preferred Must successfully pass a BCI&I and FBI background check, drug screen, and register with the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy to be eligible for employment.
