Category Pharmacy•Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract To Hire Join a growing pharmacy team in Athens, Ohio, as a Pharmacy Technician with a focus on expanding into sterile IV compounding. This contract-to-hire position offers a unique opportunity to gain specialized training and advance your pharmacy career within a mail-order compounding pharmacy environment. No prior compounding experience is necessary, as comprehensive hands-on training will be provided to the motivated, detail-oriented candidate ready to develop new skills.

Closed Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists with prescription processing, data entry, and order fulfillment Receive training and support in non-sterile and sterile compounding, including IV preparation Accurately fill, label, and package prescriptions for mail distribution Ensure compliance with USP standards and pharmacy regulations Maintain inventory and support cleanliness and organization of the work area Help coordinate shipping and workflow to meet operational demands
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years' recent experience as a Pharmacy Technician Active Pharmacy Technician license where required Willingness to learn sterile compounding and IV preparation techniques Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment This full-time position offers hands-on experience and a clear path to advanced pharmacy technician roles through supportive training.
