Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician - IV Certified Job Type Contract A home infusion pharmacy located in Sapulpa, OK seeks two experienced IV Certified Pharmacy Technicians for a 4-month contract opportunity. This role focuses on compounding and dispensing infused medications, medication monitoring, and patient consultation within a home care setting. The contract runs from ASAP through December 31, with weekday shifts from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare sterile compounded infusion medications adhering to strict protocols Dispense prescription medications and monitor patient compliance and potential drug misuse Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation Provide thorough patient education on medication usage, side effects, and medical device handling Identify drug-related problems and effectively communicate with physicians and healthcare teams Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks Maintain adequate pharmaceutical and medical supplies inventory Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Current Oklahoma pharmacy technician license in-hand IV certification with demonstrated experience in home infusion pharmacy Proficiency in compounding sterile solutions and infused drugs Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience evaluating and monitoring drug therapies in home care Participation in relevant professional pharmacy societies is preferred Doctor of Pharmacy degree required
Location and Schedule:
Based in Sapulpa, OK, with a work schedule Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. This contract position offers valuable experience in a growing field of pharmacy practice.
