Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician - IV Certified Job Type Contract A healthcare facility in Tulsa, OK is seeking two IV/Infusion Certified Pharmacy Technicians to support home infusion services. This 4-month contract role requires candidates who are licensed by the state pharmacy board of Oklahoma and have hands-on experience in compounding and dispensing infused medications for home care patients.
Schedule & Location:
Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tulsa, Oklahoma Contract duration: Immediate start through December 31
Key Responsibilities:
Compound sterile solutions and infused drugs following regulatory and safety protocols Accurately dispense prescription medications and monitor patient medication usage and compliance Maintain confidential patient records and pharmacy documentation Educate patients on medication administration, device handling, and potential side effects Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to optimize drug therapies Supervise junior pharmacy staff and ensure proper inventory management of pharmaceutical supplies Identify drug-related problems and provide consultation on prescription and over-the-counter medications
Preferred Qualifications:
IV Certification with proven experience in home infusion pharmacy settings Strong organizational and time management skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Active involvement in professional pharmacy societies or organizations is desirable Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent pharmacy technician certification preferred Valid Oklahoma pharmacy technician license required This opportunity offers the chance to contribute to critical home healthcare services while working a consistent weekday schedule.
