Job Description

Compensation Range :
$20 - 30.50/hr, based on years of experience. Full Time Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, LTD, STD, Life, 401k, & PTO The Pharmacy Technician assists licensed pharmacists in the preparation, processing, and dispensing of prescription medications in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, Oregon Board of Pharmacy rules, and Columbia River Pharmacy policies and procedures. This role supports safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy operations while providing courteous customer service to patients. Operational Support Assist pharmacists with prescription processing and workflow functions Retrieve pharmaceutical products and perform counting, pouring, or measuring of medications Prepare prescription labels and affix required labels to containers Reconstitute prescription medications as directed by the pharmacist Enter and maintain accurate patient and prescription data in the pharmacy computer system Assist with opening and closing procedures under pharmacist direction Inventory & Supply Management Maintain inventory control procedures Assist with ordering medications, supplies, vials, bottles, and pharmacy materials Check in non-controlled drug orders when authorized Manage recalled, outdated, overstocked, or returned medications per policy Assist with preparation for physical inventory counts Customer Service Provide courteous, professional service to patients and staff Assist patients in locating over-the-counter (OTC) products (without providing clinical advice) Coordinate workflow to ensure timely prescription processing Compliance & Safety Comply with all federal and state laws, Oregon Board of Pharmacy rules, HIPAA requirements, and internal policies Maintain confidentiality of patient health information Follow safety protocols related to hazardous drugs, cleaning chemicals, and medical-grade substances Perform duties only within the scope permitted by law and under pharmacist supervision General Duties Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy workspace Perform duties as assigned by the supervising pharmacist Adapt to changing schedules, workflows, and priorities Required Qualifications Current Oregon Board of Pharmacy registration as a Pharmacy Technician High school diploma or equivalent Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and customer service skills Basic computer proficiency Preferred Qualifications National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) Prior retail or clinical pharmacy experience Familiarity with pharmacy management software
