Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pharmacy Technician, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and medication safety. In this vital role, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, managing pharmacy operations, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Duties Prepare and dispense medications accurately under pharmacist supervision. Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment, expiration tracking, and proper storage procedures. Utilize pharmacy software to enter data, process prescriptions, and maintain precise patient records while ensuring confidentiality. Assist in patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions, clarifying medication instructions, and providing excellent patient service. Maintain strict adherence to pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, including drug regulation laws and state and federal pharmacy laws. Support community pharmacy operations through accurate data entry, medication labeling, and order processing. Requirements Experience with pharmacy software systems and data entry processes to ensure efficient workflow management. Strong understanding of state healthcare regulations and federal pharmacy laws governing medication handling and patient confidentiality. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on patient care and effective communication. Ability to perform accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Meets state requirements to work as a Pharmacy Technician, such as minimum age, qualification, registration, certification, and/or licensure when required by the State Board of Pharmacy. Must obtain National Pharmacy Technician Certification issued by PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT) within 9 months of job entry.
