Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling transactions. This position requires a strong understanding of pharmacy operations, including medication administration and medical terminology. The Cashier will ensure that all customer interactions are positive and that all transactions are processed accurately. Responsibilities Process customer transactions quickly and accurately using the point-of-sale system. Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and needs. Maintain knowledge of pharmacy products and services to effectively communicate with customers. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while ensuring compliance with company policies. Assist in managing inventory levels by restocking shelves as needed. Work collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and other staff to ensure smooth operations. Uphold cleanliness and organization in the cashier area to promote a welcoming environment for customers. Qualifications Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred. Familiarity with pharmacy operations, is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. Strong communication skills with the ability to provide patient care and service effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail, and able to stand for entire shift. Must be able to pass any required background checks or screenings as per company policy. As well as a drug test within a short window of time. Will need to obtain a PA pharmacy technician trainee license, cost is approx $55, this process takes about 4 weeks to obtain. Must be 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED for PA licensing requirements to work in the pharmacy. Ability to close 2 evenings per week and work rotating weekends and holidays is required, most stores operational hours range from 8a-9p M-F and 9-6 weekends. Ability to travel to nearby stores for training or additional hours. Opportunity for Full-Time once training is completed. Will need to apply online to be considered.
