Mail Order LTC Pharmacy Technician - Leesport, Pennsylvania RPh on the Go - 4.1 Leesport, PA Job Details Temp-to-hire 1 day ago Qualifications IV compounding Pharmacy Technician License Sterile medication handling Pharmacy Technician Certification Full Job Description Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. This opportunity seeks a skilled Pharmacy Technician to support long-term care and mail order pharmacy operations in Leesport, PA. The role involves working closely under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist to accurately fill prescriptions, prepare IV medications, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. This position offers a contract-to-hire arrangement for approximately 26 weeks, with standard daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately fill prescriptions and prepare sterile compounded IV medications following established protocols. Collaborate with the Billing Supervisor to enter data and facilitate reimbursement processes. Prepackage medications for dispensing in compliance with regulatory and quality standards. Assist the Pharmacist with final prescription verification, including preparing medications for review and packaging after approval. Support pharmacy inventory management by receiving supplies, tracking lot numbers, and ensuring stock rotation. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, checking equipment calibration and safety under Technician Supervisor guidance.
Qualifications:
Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician License is required. Experience in long-term care or mail order pharmacy settings is highly preferred. Proficiency in sterile compounding techniques is essential. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict regulatory guidelines.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
