Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy operations, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medications to patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration, and aseptic techniques. The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with pharmacists and healthcare professionals in a hospital or acute care setting, providing exceptional patient care. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications. Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards. Perform medication administration under the supervision of licensed pharmacists. Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes through effective medication management. Provide support in inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications. Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and safety information as needed. Stay updated on pharmaceutical developments and best practices to enhance patient care. Experience Previous experience in retail setting or community pharmacy setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology and pharmacy operations is essential. Experience with critical care environments and medication administration processes is highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary for managing multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a focus on patient care.
