Certified Pharmacy Technician - Care Specialist Medix - 3.7 Plano, TX Job Details Full-time | Contract Up to $18.50 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Pharmacy Technician License Medical claims submission Filing patient billing claims Typing Pharmacy Technician Certification Full Job Description Remote Pharmacy Technician Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to support patients nationwide through exceptional customer service and pharmacy expertise. This fully remote position involves speaking with patients by phone or secure messaging to manage medication needs, troubleshoot complex cases, address billing concerns, and coordinate with prescribers for refills, prior authorizations, and coverage determinations. Key Responsibilities Communicate with patients 100% of the time via phone or digital messaging regarding prescription needs. Resolve billing issues by preparing and submitting third-party insurance claims. Troubleshoot complex pharmacy cases to ensure timely resolution. Provide exceptional service and handle patient escalations with empathy and professionalism. Collaborate with physicians' offices on refill requests, prior authorizations, and coverage reviews. Maintain compliance with all training and performance standards while working remotely.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Active CPhT license in good standing with the Texas or Colorado Board of Pharmacy (must not expire within 3 months) 1.5+ years of Certified Pharmacy Technician experience 1+ year of pharmacy billing experience 1+ year of pharmacy customer service experience Minimum typing speed of 45 WPM Strong computer literacy and comfort navigating digital tools
Preferred:
Fertility or specialty pharmacy experience Prior remote work experience Familiarity with MacOS/Apple products

Multiple options to fit all schedules! Equipment will be provided. Pay frequency is weekly!
