Overview:

Pharmacy technicians are persons certified and skilled in the practical and mechanical aspects of the profession of pharmacy. The pharmacy technician position requires a high level of function in specific skills and knowledge. Increasing involvement of pharmacists with patient care activities has increased the need for trained and qualified pharmacy technicians who are able to assume the more technical roles in pharmacies to relieve the pharmacist of these functions. Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining drug inventory, and maintaining patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. At Children's Mercy, we are committed to ensuring that everyone feels welcomed within our walls. Responsibilities:

Procures and distributes medication orders per physician request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures, and protocols. Contributes to the effective operation of the department. Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

HS diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years experience general pharmacy technician work experience. Experience in an ambulatory pharmacy setting as a pharmacy technician is helpful.

Starting Pay:

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $20.27/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience. Remote Work/Work from
