Job Description

Pharmacy Technician Trainee We are seeking a dependable, friendly, and motivated individual to join our pharmacy team. No prior pharmacy experience is required—we will provide hands-on training for the right person. This position begins with a 90-day introductory training period. During this time, the employee will focus on customer service, operating the cash register, learning pharmacy procedures, and supporting the daily workflow. After successfully completing the 90-day period, the pharmacy will assist the employee with registering as a pharmacy technician with the state.
Responsibilities Initial responsibilities will include:
Greeting and assisting customers in a professional and friendly manner Operating the cash register and processing customer transactions Answering telephone calls and directing questions appropriately Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming work environment Supporting the pharmacy team with general workflow needs As training progresses and state registration requirements are met, responsibilities will expand to include: Counting and preparing prescriptions under pharmacist supervision Processing prescription refills Entering new prescriptions into the pharmacy system Troubleshooting insurance rejections and billing errors Communicating with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies Managing prescription pickup and workflow queues Assisting with inventory, medication ordering, and restocking Completing other pharmacy duties necessary to keep operations moving smoothly Qualifications No previous pharmacy experience required High school diploma or equivalent preferred Strong customer-service and communication skills Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn Comfortable using computers and learning new systems Able to work accurately in a busy environment Able to protect confidential patient information Willing to complete the state pharmacy technician registration process after successfully completing the 90-day introductory period Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening Benefits and Opportunities Paid one-week vacation for eligible full-time employees Hands-on training and professional development Supportive, family-oriented workplace Opportunity to build a long-term career in pharmacy Potential for continued growth and expanded responsibilities as a pharmacy technician We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job.
