Job Description

Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract Join a specialized mail order pharmacy team focused on renal care, processing approximately 1,000 prescriptions daily. This contract position offers part-time hours from Monday to Friday, 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with an ASAP start. The pharmacy uses the Wellsky order entry system without automation, providing a hands-on experience in either customer service or dispensing roles.
Responsibilities:
For customer service technicians: Verify shipping information, enter new patient data, and update patient profiles accurately within the pharmacy software system.
For dispensing technicians:
Accurately fill and dispense medications according to prescriptions and pharmacy guidelines. Collaborate with pharmacists and other staff to ensure quality service and patient safety. Maintain compliance with pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician, ideally in a high-volume pharmacy setting. Proficiency or willingness to learn the Wellsky pharmacy order entry system. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and team members. Valid pharmacy technician certification/license as required.
