Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A pharmacy technician role is available for a 13-week contract assignment in Cibolo, TX. This position focuses on supporting pharmacy operations through prescription compounding, preparation, and processing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications according to established policies and state regulations. Accurately compound and prepare medications and supplies. Perform pharmaceutical calculations to verify correct dosages. Properly label and package medications for dispensing. Participate in identifying, managing, documenting, and reporting medication-related incidents. Maintain and sanitize pharmacy work surfaces, including laminar flow hoods. Inspect pharmacy equipment regularly and report any malfunctions. Document pharmacy temperature logs and cleaning records to ensure compliance. Support general pharmacy organization and adherence to regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 1 year experience as a pharmacy technician. Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license. Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). IV certification is required.
