•Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, and education.) Job Summary The Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in providing professional pharmacy services to patients and staff. Responsibilities include prescription processing, medication preparation, controlled substance handling, patient communication, inventory management, and pharmacy documentation under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Key Responsibilities Assist patients with prescription drop-off and pick-up and provide basic pharmacy information. Answer incoming calls and assist with prescription-related inquiries. Fill prescriptions by selecting, counting, prepackaging, reconstituting, and labeling medications. Process and maintain controlled substance inventory and required documentation. Maintain counting cells and perform required cleaning and maintenance. Support pharmacy quality control, audits, and performance improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate records and follow pharmacy, hospital, and regulatory policies. Participate in required department education and training. Required Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Minimum 1 year of relevant pharmacy experience Current BLS from American Heart Association (AHA). Current Texas State Board of Pharmacy Technician Registration , OR Texas Pharmacy Intern License/Registration Strong communication and telephone skills. Comfortable working evening shifts and weekends .
