Key Responsibilities Accurately process new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy management system, including patient information, prescriber details, ingredients, strengths, dosage forms, quantities, directions, days' supply, and refill authorization data. Evaluate prescription orders for completeness and identify missing or unclear information requiring pharmacist review or prescriber follow-up. Maintain patient, provider, clinic, allergy, billing, shipping, and related records with a strong commitment to accuracy and confidentiality. Support compounding operations by documenting formula-specific information, administration methods, dosage form preferences, flavor selections, package sizes, and special handling requirements when applicable. Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, clinics, and internal departments to obtain necessary information and direct clinical inquiries to a pharmacist. Work closely with pharmacists, compounding staff, fulfillment personnel, shipping, billing, and customer service teams to facilitate efficient prescription processing. Manage prescription queues, prioritize urgent requests, resolve data entry tasks, and help maintain service-level expectations for quality and turnaround times. Adhere to HIPAA regulations, Texas State Board of Pharmacy requirements, company policies, and established compounding pharmacy procedures. Continuous Learner:

Interested in expanding knowledge of compounding pharmacy operations and contributing to a growing organization. Requirements Active Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) registration or licensure with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy required. Previous pharmacy technician experience required. Experience with prescription entry, specialty pharmacy, retail pharmacy, or compounding pharmacy operations preferred. Strong computer skills, accurate data entry and typing abilities, excellent attention to detail, professional phone etiquette, and the ability to interpret prescription information within technician scope of practice. Ability to stand for extended periods. Frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. One Saturday per month, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Additional Requirements:
