Night Shift

8.5 hours/day Pharmacy Technician - Night Shift | Lancaster, TX Millbrook Support Services is seeking a skilled and dedicated Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our night shift team in Lancaster, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for pharmacy technicians who are organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about improving the health and lives of others through meaningful work in a mission-driven, federally regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Prepares and dispenses medications, and maintains related records for patients Prepares, packages, labels, and distributes medication doses prescribed by physician Maintains inventories of drugs and supplies, stocking shelves, rotating stock, and checking expiration date of pharmaceuticals Fills/stocks medications in various automated devices and storage locations Operates various types of pharmacy automation, including, but not limited to, Autofill devices; Baker Cells; Kalish cells, A-frames; repackaging equipment; electronic scales Read computer screens, use scanning equipment, select specific drugs/products required to fill an order by name, strength, and National Drug Code (NDC) number Cleans cells and performs first level preventative maintenance which includes cleaning off lights, vacuuming, and making minor adjustments to equipment Must be able to understand the precautions required when handling hazardous materials and hazardous waste Must be able to follow SOP and procedures as required. Must be able to understand the precautions required when handling hazardous materials and hazardous waste Certified Pharmacy Technician tasks include those listed above as contracted Non-Certified Pharmacy Technicians, and include the following: Manually fill any specialized prescriptions Puck Exception area for QA duties. Main line Exception for QA Duties. Canister Verification Duties Canister Replenishment Duties. Certifications

Non-certified technicians must have 6 months of experience (unless otherwise authorized by the respective CMOP) in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting; or be a graduate of an Academic Technician Training Educational Program. Not all pharmacy technicians will be required to be certified or registered (unless required by State Guidelines); however, certification is highly encouraged as several processes and certain equipment will require certified technicians. GED or High School Diploma required

Technical & Clinical Skills

Strong understanding of pharmacy practices, medical terminology, and drug classifications.

Excellent computer literacy and data entry accuracy.

Proficiency with pharmacy systems, prescription processing, and documentation protocols.

Experience

Preferred:

Minimum of 6 months of experience in a pharmacy environment (mail order, hospital, retail, or long-term care).

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Frequent use of hands to handle materials and operate pharmacy equipment.

Comfortable working in a high-volume, production-oriented mail-order pharmacy.

Occasional lifting of boxes or materials up to 25 lbs.

Work is performed in a secure, climate-controlled pharmacy environment during night shift hours.
