•5:00 PM Five 8-hour shifts per week Must be available to work weekdays and 2-3 weekends per month Overtime, holiday, and weekend shifts may be required as business needs dictate Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Floor Technician to support pharmacy operations by accurately picking, labeling, scanning, and preparing prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist. This role is critical to ensuring medications are processed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Accurately fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist. Pick and pull medications from shelving, storage areas, and prepack racks. Prepare prescriptions by labeling, scanning, and packaging medications for pharmacist review. Apply labels to blister cards and scan products for accuracy verification. Notify the pharmacist of any medication or product that does not scan properly. Assist with processing returned medications and follow procedures for recycling or disposal. Support prepacking activities for frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods. Package materials and products manually according to established procedures. Maintain a clean, organized workstation and replenish inventory and supplies as needed. Comply with all applicable federal, state, and company regulations, including HIPAA requirements. Adhere to departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code. Perform additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English. Active and unrestricted Texas Pharmacy Technician License issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification. Preferred Qualifications Previous pharmacy technician experience in a retail, mail-order, hospital, or long-term care pharmacy setting. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and move throughout the workday. May be required to sit or stand for 7-10 hours per shift. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Manual dexterity required for handling medications and operating equipment. Strong visual acuity, including close vision, color vision, and focus adjustment. Ability to hear and communicate effectively in a pharmacy environment.
