Duties Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including sterile IV admixture and compounding medications using aseptic techniques and sterile procedures. Enter prescription data accurately into pharmacy software systems while maintaining strict patient confidentiality and adhering to data entry protocols. Support medication inventory management by verifying stock levels, restocking supplies, and ensuring proper storage according to pharmaceutical regulations. Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, including drug regulation policies and medical terminology standards. Provide excellent patient service by answering questions, processing intake, and supporting medication administration efforts in hospital or community pharmacy settings. Maintain accurate documentation for pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation adherence, and pharmaceutical regulatory compliance records. Assist with hospital pharmacy operations, including IV infusion preparation, sterile compounding, and aseptic technique procedures for acute care environments. Experience Proven pharmacy technician experience in hospital or community pharmacy settings, with a strong understanding of pharmacy software systems. Experience in sterile compounding procedures and aseptic techniques. Experience in non sterile compounding Familiarity with medical terminology, pharmacological medical terminology, and drug regulation policies. Demonstrated ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations accurately while adhering to safety standards. Experience working within state healthcare regulations and maintaining compliance with all applicable laws governing pharmacy practice. Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail and accuracy.
