Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Provide friendly, professional service to caregivers, patients, and family members while building strong, lasting relationships. Assist customers by problem-solving and addressing needs to ensure patient safety and satisfaction. Support pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications. Communicate professionally with customers, physicians, clinic staff, and facility staff. Collect and review required information to accurately process patient prescriptions. Maintain accurate records of medications, equipment, and services provided to patients. Verify insurance information and ensure claims are submitted and adjudicated correctly. Work collaboratively with pharmacists, co-workers, and vendors to resolve discrepancies and improve processes. Process prescription payments and manage charges to patient accounts. Monitor and maintain appropriate prescription inventory levels, including ordering products as needed. Receive, store, count, stock, and document incoming products and supplies. Assist with the training and development of pharmacy department staff. Serve as a team lead during weekend shifts, as assigned. Actively participate in company teams, meetings, and initiatives. Attend and complete all required training sessions and mandatory events. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed. Requirement of the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services
  • Pharmacy Examining Board 1. Age and Education
  • Applicant satisfies one of the following: The applicant is at least 18 years of age and has graduated from high school or has attained high school graduation equivalence as determined by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
The applicant is enrolled in a youth apprenticeship program for pharmacy technician that is on the list of youth apprenticeship programs approved by the Department of Workforce Development (DWD) under WIS. Stat § 106.132m). 2. Application submitted via the Department's online credentialing system LicensE. 3. Fee(s) paid in the Department's online credentialing system LicenseE. (Initial credential fee is $30.00.) 4. Malpractice Suits or Claims (Form #2829) and copies of malpractice suite, court documents with allegations, and settlement, if applicable. 5. Convictions and Pending Charges (Form #2252), if applicable. (There is an $8 additional fee if this form is submitted.)
