Job Summary:
The pharmacy technician is part of a team that compounds and distributes medications to many of our Froedtert Thedacare locations, including hospitals, clinics, surgery centers, etc. This role requires the technician to compound large volumes of IV products, perform and document cleaning pursuant to USP 797, fulfill orders from our serviced sites, and operate our Apoteca Syringe Robot. In addition, this role will communicate directly with our customers to ensure they are continuously supported with high quality service so they can best serve their patients. The ideal candidate is IV room trained, works well with others, communicates effectively, and adapts to changes/disruptions well.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION
: Minimum of 2 years work experience in a hospital pharmacy department is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION
Graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician-training program is preferred.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION
Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire. Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must have applied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 to obtain registration. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is required within 6 months of hire.
