Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support pharmacists in providing high-quality care to patients by assisting in the preparation, dispensing, and management of medications. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accurate delivery of prescriptions and providing excellent customer service to patients. We have a strong attendance policy. Our work environment fosters collaboration, with a strong emphasis on teamwork. We rotate positions regularly to ensure that every team member gains experience in different roles and contributes to all aspects of the pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist pharmacists in processing prescriptions, including data entry, counting, labeling, and dispensing medications. Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to resolve prescription-related issues. Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations. Perform inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies. Provide exceptional customer service to patients by answering questions, providing information on medications, and offering assistance with over-the-counter products. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation. Operate cash registers and handle financial transactions related to prescriptions and products. Assist with pharmacy cleaning, maintenance, and organizational tasks.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in pharmacy or healthcare is a plus. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy. Strong communication skills and a customer service-oriented approach. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Ability to move and stock medication inventory.
