Duties Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and skin puncture techniques with precision and care Prepare and process specimens according to laboratory procedures, ensuring proper labeling, handling, and documentation Monitor patient and provide reassurance to ensure a positive experience during specimen collection Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent contamination and ensure sample integrity Assist with patient care activities, including explaining procedures and addressing patient questions or concerns Record detailed information using medical terminology and laboratory protocols for accurate data entry Support laboratory staff by organizing specimens, managing sample flow, and maintaining cleanliness of work areas Qualifications Proven experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or clinical laboratory settings, with a focus on phlebotomy or blood sampling Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and laboratory safety standards Hands-on experience with venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen processing in hospital or clinical environments Strong understanding of laboratory techniques including aseptic technique and specimen handling protocols Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically Familiarity with vital signs measurement and basic anatomy knowledge to support accurate sample collection Prior hospital experience or working within a healthcare setting is highly preferred Embark on a rewarding career path where your technical skills meet compassionate patient care.
