Type:

full-time Occupational Health Center (OHC) has a current opening for a qualified full-time Drug and Alcohol Testing Technician. We will train on the job. Applicant must be a male as they will perform same sex drug screen observations. Conducts supervised and observed urine drug screens, alcohol breath testing and hair collections. Work is performed under general supervision. Classification Summary This position will instruct and assist clients in the screening process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (may vary with specific positions): Conducts supervised and observed urine drug screen tests; Monitors and detects any potential device or substance used to interfere with the drug test during the collection of the sample; Maintains detailed records; Prepares and maintains the drug screen lab; Sorts, verifies, prepares and packages the collections for daily pick up; Helps maintain and inventories drug screen supplies; Performs breath alcohol-sensor tests; Completes necessary documents and court affidavits; Uses panel cup substance screening devices and interprets results; Disposes of used testing equipment/materials safely. Other Duties and Responsibilities Performs related functions as required.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of:

How to apply evidence collection and preservation techniques; Applying customer service principles and practices; Personal computers and word processing; Knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuation; Providing proper telephone and office etiquette; Spanish speaking is a plus Ability to: Effectively observe and direct clients to assure proper compliance with drug screen collection requirements; Maintain strict confidentiality of all department records and information; Communicate effectively orally and in writing High school diploma or equivalent. Special Qualifications Must pass a drug screen test.
