Variable Hours and Shifts including 5:00 a.m-2:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m.- 10:30 p.m., and 10:30 p.m.-7:00 a.m.

Jefferson Regional Laboratory DepartmentJob Summary:
The Phlebotomist obtains blood specimens for laboratory analysis. They will transport blood specimens to the laboratory and accession blood specimens into the Laboratory information system. This role ensures accurate and efficient collection, handling, and processing of blood specimens, maintaining patient comfort and safety throughout the process.
Phlebotomist Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Technical Diploma in phlebotomy preferred.

Completion of a Certified Phlebotomy training program preferred. Phlebotomy Certification preferred. This is a safety sensitive position. •
Minimum Requirements:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly
Preferred Requirements:
Three or more years of phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting. Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques
