Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Mobile Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality laboratory specimen collection services directly to patients in various settings. This energetic position offers the opportunity to provide compassionate patient care while ensuring accurate and efficient specimen collection, processing, and documentation. As a Mobile Phlebotomist, you will be the friendly face of our laboratory services, bringing essential healthcare support to communities and individuals in need. Your expertise will help facilitate timely diagnoses and contribute to improved patient outcomes. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling using aseptic techniques to collect specimens from diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Ensure proper handling, labeling, and transportation of specimens in accordance with laboratory protocols to maintain sample integrity. Conduct patient care activities such as measuring vital signs and assessing patient comfort during specimen collection procedures. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems for accurate data entry, documentation, and tracking of specimens and patient information. Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures clearly, answering questions, and demonstrating empathy throughout the collection process. Maintain compliance with laboratory procedures, safety standards, and health regulations such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and Basic Life Support (BLS). Lift heavy supplies when necessary and ensure a safe working environment by adhering to proper ergonomics and infection control practices. Skills Extensive knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen collection methods including venipuncture and blood sampling. Proven experience in medical laboratory work, with a strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and clinical laboratory practices. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics. Familiarity with hospital environments, EMR/EHR systems, and data entry protocols to ensure precise recordkeeping. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to blood collection, specimen handling, and laboratory processes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during specimen processing. Knowledge of aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during sample collection and handling. Valid certifications in phlebotomy (such as Certified Phlebotomy Technician), CPR/BLS certification, and relevant hospital or clinical experience preferred. Pay:
$16.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 40.0 per week
