Job Description

Sonora Quest Laboratories is seeking a detail-oriented Phlebotomist in Prescott to support our technology-driven diagnostics environment. In this role, you will perform venipuncture and specimen collection, verify patient identity, label and process samples using electronic systems, and ensure accurate data entry into lab software. You will collaborate closely with lab and IT teams, maintain quality and safety standards, and support process improvements. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection following safety protocols Verify patient identity and obtain proper consent and documentation Label, process, and prepare specimens for transport and analysis Enter and verify patient and specimen data in EHR and LIS systems Maintain equipment, supplies, and a clean, compliant work area Follow infection control, OSHA, and quality assurance procedures Collaborate with lab and clinical teams to resolve specimen or data issues Provide professional, compassionate patient interaction during collection Required Skills Venipuncture Capillary blood collection Specimen handling and processing Patient identification and verification Electronic health record (EHR) use Laboratory information system (LIS) operation Data entry and labeling accuracy Infection control and safety protocols Centrifuge and lab equipment operation Regulatory and quality standards compliance
