We bring non-invasive screenings (ultrasound, EKG, blood panels) directly into churches, senior centers, and community organizations. Our participants are adults who book screenings as part of community wellness events. Your expertise will directly contribute to early detection and prevention efforts, helping individuals access essential health screenings conveniently and efficiently. This position offers flexible scheduling to fit your availability while making a meaningful impact on public health.

Responsibilities:

Collect blood samples via venipuncture and capillary techniques with precision and care, adhering to aseptic procedures. Obtain vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to support comprehensive patient assessments. Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring correct labeling, handling, and transportation according to established protocols. Provide excellent patient service by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and maintaining a comfortable environment. Maintain accurate documentation of all collected specimens, patient information, and test requisitions in compliance with privacy standards. Follow laboratory procedures and techniques meticulously to ensure specimen integrity and reliable results. Support the overall workflow by assisting with specimen processing and maintaining cleanliness of work areas.

Requirements:

Proven experience in phlebotomy or clinical laboratory settings, with strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques. Demonstrated understanding of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and blood sampling methods such as venipuncture. Prior hospital or healthcare facility experience is preferred; familiarity with patient care practices is essential. Ability to perform venipuncture confidently while maintaining aseptic technique to prevent contamination or infection. Excellent communication skills for explaining procedures clearly and providing compassionate patient service. Knowledge of vital signs measurement and basic anatomy to ensure accurate specimen collection. Certification in phlebotomy or relevant laboratory training is highly desirable; ongoing professional development is a plus. We will not waste your time and we ask the same in return. Candidates with weekday availability will be prioritized Events run on both weekdays and weekends , depending on the venue. Shifts are typically 4 to 6 hours, including setup and pack-down. We schedule events 2 to 4 weeks in advance so you'll always know your calendar. You commit to events you accept. We do not tolerate last-minute cancellations because every participant has a confirmed appointment counting on you. This role is a great fit if: you have a primary clinic or hospital job and want predictable side income, or you're semi-retired and want to stay sharp without the grind of clinic hours. This role is not a good fit if: you're looking for full-time hours, you need a fixed weekly schedule, or you can't commit to weekend availability when events fall on Saturday or Sunday.
