  • Draw Blood Samples from
Patients:

Accurately and safely collect blood specimens from a diverse patient population, including pediatric and geriatric patients.

  • Prepare Specimens for
Laboratory Testing:

Properly label, handle, and process blood samples according to established procedures to ensure accurate test results.

  • Create a
Trusting Environment:

Explain procedures to patients clearly, demonstrating professionalism and sensitivity to build confidence and comfort.

  • Maintain Records and Documentation: Keep detailed and accurate records of sample collection and related activities, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards.
  • Ensure a
Safe and Professional Environment:

Follow safety protocols, maintain cleanliness, and promote a welcoming atmosphere in the healthcare environment. Required Skills

  • Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric patient specimens.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and documentation.
  • Customer service skills, especially in a retail or service setting.
  • Keyboard and data entry experience for recording and managing patient information. Additional Skills & Requirements
  • Bilingual in Spanish is required to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience is required; 1+ years preferred.
  • Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Flexibility to work Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, with rotating every-other Saturday, and availability for overtime or on-call shifts.
