Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Part-time Phlebotomist, where you will play a vital role in collecting blood samples and other specimens with precision and care. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with patients of all ages, providing exceptional patient service while ensuring accurate specimen collection and handling. You will be instrumental in supporting diagnostic processes by adhering to strict laboratory procedures and maintaining a compassionate, professional demeanor. Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity Collect, process, and handle specimens following established laboratory protocols and safety standards Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort during collection Accurately document all specimen collection details in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and perform precise data entry Maintain a clean, organized work environment by sterilizing equipment and adhering to infection control guidelines Assist with specimen processing, labeling, and transportation to the laboratory for analysis Experience Prior experience in medical laboratory work or clinical settings is highly preferred Knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and specimen handling is essential Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy, venipuncture, and blood sampling across diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatrics Familiarity with hospital environments, EMR/EHR systems, and data entry processes Experience working with laboratory procedures related to anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology enhances effectiveness in this role This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient health outcomes while developing your skills within a supportive healthcare environment. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 15.0 per week
