Job Description :

EDUCATION
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. HS Diploma or general education degree (GED)
OR Other:
Three to six months related experience and/or training
OR Other:
Equivalent combination of education and experience
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
CPTI-Certified Phlebotomy Technician
I PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN
Six months comparable hospital experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Understands the importance of positive patient specimen identification. Tact and diplomacy required for interaction with people under stressful conditions. Ability to read and interpret documents such as service goal requirements , safety rules, computer logs, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees. Ability to add, subtract, multiply , and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers , common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
