We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant with strong phlebotomy experience to join our team. Position Overview The Medical Assistant will support providers in both clinical and administrative capacities. This role requires proficiency in phlebotomy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to create a welcoming patient experience in a functional medicine setting. Key Responsibilities Clinical Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with accuracy and professionalism Process, label, and prepare specimens for laboratory transport Maintain proper documentation in the EMR Assist providers during patient visits as needed Record vital signs and patient histories Ensure exam rooms are stocked, clean, and prepared Follow infection control and safety protocols Administrative / Front Desk Duties Greet and check in patients Schedule appointments and manage provider calendars Verify patient information and update records Answer phone calls and respond to basic patient inquiries Process payments and assist with checkout procedures Support prior authorizations and coordination of specialty lab testing Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent preferred) Demonstrated experience in phlebotomy (required) Experience in a functional medicine or integrative practice preferred Proficiency with EMR systems Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Preferred Skills (Optional) Experience with specialty lab panels (e.g., hormone, micronutrient, GI testing) Familiarity with cash-based or concierge practice models Customer service background Compensation Competitive hourly wage based on experience Professional development opportunities How to Apply Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience in phlebotomy and interest in functional medicine.
