Walnut Creek, CA (On-site, Full-Time) — May require occasional travel to nearby clinics for coverage About the Role We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our clinical team in Walnut Creek, CA. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced outpatient setting, values patient-centered care, and enjoys working as part of a collaborative healthcare team. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws safely and accurately. Collect, label, process, and prepare blood and other specimens for laboratory testing. Verify patient identity and explain procedures to patients. Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, and other patient information. Prepare patients and exam rooms for clinical procedures. Assist providers with examinations and minor procedures as needed. Follow proper infection control, safety, and specimen-handling protocols. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EMR/EHR. Schedule appointments and assist with patient check-in/check-out. Monitor and maintain phlebotomy and medical supplies. Handle specimen transport and ensure compliance with laboratory requirements. Provide compassionate patient care and address patient questions or concerns. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (required) High school diploma or GED (required) Minimum 1 years of back office clinical experience (required) Epic EMR experience strongly preferred Strong communication skills with patients and team members Professional, reliable, and adaptable in a dynamic clinical environment Ability to work independently and collaboratively Schedule Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Full-time, 40 hours per week No weekends or evenings Why Join Us?
