Job Summary:
This position provides phlebotomy coverage for field services including all In-Office Phlebotomists and Patient Service Centers in assigned areas. This role provides collects samples from all patients: pediatric through geriatric. Additionally, this role ensures specimen integrity by adhering to the laboratory's procedures for specimen collection, handling, and processing.Duties/Responsibilities:
Follows laboratory procedures for specimen collection and handling. Retrieves blood from patients while providing excellent customer service. Enters patient data accurately into an electronic lab information system or manually. Identifies patient data and accurately labels specimens. Performs functions appropriately and uses time management skills to achieve departmental goals. Follows all established guidelines and adheres to company policies and procedures. Packs and prepares samples for specimen shipment and/or transport. Communicates efficiently and timely with leadership to address and report all issues observed in the field. Has availability for approximately 10% travel. Performs other related duties as assigned.Hours:
