Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Phlebotomist (CPT) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Duties Collect blood samples via venipuncture and capillary puncture using aseptic techniques to ensure specimen integrity Prepare, label, and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing, adhering to strict protocols Assist patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics, with comfort and professionalism during specimen collection Maintain detailed records of specimen collection, processing steps, and patient information within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) or Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Monitor vital signs as needed and provide basic patient care support during procedures Ensure compliance with safety standards such as Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), maintaining a safe environment for patients and staff Handle specimens with proper blood sampling techniques, ensuring proper storage and transportation for laboratory analysis Requirements Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) from an accredited program or equivalent certification Proven laboratory experience with knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and specimen handling Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical laboratory practices Experience working in hospital settings or healthcare environments with EMR/EHR systems for data entry and documentation Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport supplies or specimens safely Knowledge of aseptic technique to prevent contamination during specimen collection Familiarity with pediatric and geriatric patient care requirements is preferred Join us in a role that combines technical expertise with compassionate patient interaction.
