Avendano Health Medical Wellness & Lab - Boca Raton, FL Avendano Health Medical Wellness & Lab is urgently seeking a reliable, personable Phlebotomist to join our growing outpatient healthcare practice on a per-diem/as-needed basis. The position will initially focus primarily on Monday and Friday morning shifts , with the opportunity for hours to expand as patient volume increases. Our goal is to eventually operate phlebotomy services Monday through Friday , making this a strong opportunity for someone who wants to grow with a developing medical practice. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and routine blood collection Verify patient information and specimen labeling Prepare specimens for laboratory processing and send-out testing Maintain a clean and organized blood-draw area Follow infection-control and specimen-handling procedures Provide patients with a professional, welcoming experience Assist with basic clinical workflow as needed The initial focus will be primarily on blood draws . Additional specimen preparation and laboratory workflow will be taught as the position develops. Schedule Per diem / as needed Initial primary days: Monday and Friday Morning shifts Potential to expand to Monday through Friday Additional hours based on patient demand and practice growth Compensation $18/hour for a 4-hour shift ($72) $20/hour for a 2-hour shift ($40) Compensation and available hours may increase as patient volume and responsibilities expand Qualifications Phlebotomy training/certification preferred Previous venipuncture experience strongly preferred Comfortable drawing patients independently Reliable and punctual Strong communication and patient-service skills Comfortable working in a growing, fast-moving outpatient environment You will not be thrown into the position alone . Management will be present during your initial shifts to help you become comfortable with our workflow, equipment, laboratory partners, and specimen procedures. We're looking for someone who is interested in becoming part of the team as we expand—not simply filling an occasional shift.
