As a Driver / Entry-Level Phlebotomist , you'll have the unique opportunity to drive our iconic Teal Blood Mobile , transport lifesaving blood collection teams to community blood drives, and train to become a professional phlebotomist. No phlebotomy experience? No problem! We provide a comprehensive training program and will teach you everything you need to know to become a skilled member of our Donor Services team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Minimum of one (1) year of experience in phlebotomy, medical field, customer service, or an equivalent field preferred. No prior phlebotomy experience required; comprehensive training is provided.

Skills and Abilities:

Strong verbal communication skills, including person-to-person and phone interactions. Ability to manage stress and make decisions under pressure. Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills. Proficiency in basic data entry and record-keeping. Problem-solving and reasoning skills.

Licenses/Certifications:

Valid driver's license preferred. Reliable transportation required. Phlebotomy certification preferred but not required.

JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Greet and register donors and patients. Determine donor eligibility based on established guidelines. Perform phlebotomy procedures for whole blood collection. Provide post-donation care and instructions, including management of adverse reactions. Ensure proper storage of blood and prepare units for transport. Conduct routine quality control, maintenance, and validation of equipment. Report equipment malfunctions or deviations to the crew chief. Monitor inventory levels and report supply needs. Meet established collection goals. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Participate in safety training and compliance activities.
