Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week Job Summary Fenix Medical Partners is seeking an experienced, dependable, and professional Medical Assistant / Phlebotomist to join our team at our Coral Gables office. The ideal candidate must be bilingual in English and Spanish and have strong hands-on experience drawing blood. We are looking for someone comfortable working directly with patients, who can work efficiently in a busy medical office, and who provides excellent patient service. Bilingual English/Spanish fluency and phlebotomy experience are required. Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and routine blood draws accurately and safely Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other patient information Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with patient care Prepare examination rooms before and after patient visits Collect, label, process, and prepare specimens for laboratory pickup or testing Maintain proper infection-control and safety procedures Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Assist with medication reconciliation and updating patient records Coordinate with clinical and administrative staff to maintain efficient patient flow Communicate professionally with patients in both English and Spanish Answer patient questions within the scope of the Medical Assistant role Maintain appropriate inventory of clinical and laboratory supplies Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned Required Qualifications Bilingual English/Spanish - REQUIRED Strong phlebotomy/blood-draw experience - REQUIRED Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant Ability to perform venipuncture confidently and independently Knowledge of basic clinical procedures, vital signs, and infection-control practices Comfortable using electronic medical records and basic computer systems Strong communication and patient-service skills Dependable, punctual, organized, and professional Ability to work effectively as part of a medical team Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Preferred Qualifications Medical Assistant certification Phlebotomy certification Experience in primary care, internal medicine, family medicine, or a similar outpatient medical setting Experience working with Medicare and/or Medicare Advantage patients Experience working with an EMR system Schedule This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position, Monday through Friday , based at our Coral Gables office. What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is more than simply comfortable around patients. The right candidate should be experienced with blood draws, dependable, personable, organized, and able to work efficiently in a busy medical practice . Our Medical Assistants are an important part of the patient experience, so professionalism, compassion, teamwork, and good communication are essential.
