Phlebotomist II Location:
Davenport, FL - 2209 N.
Blvd West Schedule:
Onsite | 6 am - 2:30 pm
Duration:
3 months Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist II to join a busy clinical laboratory setting in Davenport, FL. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience, strong blood collection skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. This position will involve working with a diverse patient population, including pediatric and geriatric patients, as well as a high volume of Spanish-speaking patients. Key Responsibilities Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection from pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Perform up to 40 blood draws per day and support a high-volume location handling 120+ patients per day. Process and prepare blood specimens according to established laboratory procedures. Perform accurate order entry and maintain appropriate documentation. Follow proper procedures for patient identification, specimen collection, labeling, processing, and handling. Provide professional and compassionate customer service throughout the patient experience. Work effectively with a team in a busy, high-volume environment. Demonstrate proficiency with pediatric and geriatric collections. Perform drug screening as required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow laboratory, safety, infection-control, and company procedures. Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy during specimen collection and processing. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of phlebotomy experience Strong venipuncture and blood collection skills Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients Experience with order entry Excellent customer service skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as a team player Ability to work in a busy, high-volume clinical environment Comfortable working with a diverse patient population No specific certification required Preferred Skills Pediatric blood collection experience Geriatric blood collection experience Drug screening experience Experience in a high-volume patient service center Experience working with Spanish-speaking patient populations Additional Information Onsite position No travel required 2 weeks of initial training Potential for assignment extension Contract-to-possible-hire opportunity No specific vaccinations are required No specific certification is required One onsite individual interview Interview expected within 48-72 hours of resume submission HM shortlist expected within 48-72 hours of receiving resumes
