Responsibilities Draw blood samples from patients while following established practices and procedures Prepare specimens for laboratory testing with accuracy and attention to detail Explain procedures to patients to create a trusting and comfortable environment Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected samples Ensure a safe, professional, and clean environment at all times Demonstrate leadership behaviors and promote a positive image to patients and staff Perform clinical and forensic specimen collection and processing duties as required Required Skills Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients Ability to provide high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Keyboard and data entry proficiency Effective communication skills for patient interaction Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Additional Skills & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington) Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus Must be flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed Reliable transportation to the worksite is essential (personal vehicle preferred; ride-sharing or public transportation not acceptable) Candidate must be within 20-25 minutes of the worksite and able to commit to scheduled shifts Must be punctual, dependable, and committed to staying for entire shifts without excessive absenteeism or tardiness Ensure your skills and experience align with these requirements to thrive in this vital healthcare role.
