Phlebotomist West Volusia Family & Sports Medicine - 3.0 DeLand, FL Job Details Full-time 7 hours ago Qualifications Phone communication Computer skills Full Job Description West Volusia Family and Sports Medicine is actively seeking a qualified Phlebotomist to join our growing Primary Care office in Deland FL. This is a full-time position. Hours are 6:30-3pm Mon- Friday with occasional Saturday coverage. You will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team focusing in the areas of Family and Sports medicine.
General Duties include:
Performs phlebotomy using proper technique and universal precautions. Ensures lab specimens are sent to proper labs. Documents patient care services utilizing daily logs, patient records, and appropriate outside laboratory forms. Comforts patients by anticipating anxieties, answering questions, providing support Collect and organize blood, tissue, and other bodily fluid samples from patients Prepare samples for routine testing and analysis Properly record results for further analysis and easy reference Monitor inventory samples and supplies Maintain a clean work environment Work under the supervision of a medical technologist Transport samples to our in house lab from another officeExperience:
Phlebotomy:
1 year Previous experience as a clinical technician or in other related fields Familiarity with common medical terminology Experience in a laboratory setting Strong organizational skills An ideal candidate will have excellent time management and organizational skills. This position requires independent judgment as well as the ability to work closely with a team of clinicians. Applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills; capable of multi-tasking and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment; computer and telephone skills required. Equal Opportunity Employer.
