Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare system by collecting blood samples from patients for laboratory testing. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to provide exceptional patient service will contribute to the overall quality of care we provide.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform blood sampling and phlebotomize patients using proper techniques
  • Collect and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
  • Follow established laboratory procedures for specimen collection processing
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety during the phlebotomy process
  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate specimen collection
  • Handle specimens appropriately for transport to the laboratory
  • Provide exceptional patient service and address any concerns or questions
Skills:
  • Proficient in venipuncture and other phlebotomy techniques
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures and techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in specimen collection and labeling
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical laboratory environment
  • Compassionate and empathetic towards patients' needs
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare practices
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program or certification
  • Previous experience as a Phlebotomist
REQUIRED
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance with patient privacy laws
