We are seeking a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with phlebotomy experience who is passionate about patient care and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment. Position Summary This role combines both clinical medical assisting and phlebotomy responsibilities in a fast-paced outpatient functional medicine practice. ResponsibilitiesClinical Medical Assistant Duties Room patients and obtain accurate medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints Prepare patients for examinations and procedures Assist providers during office visits and in-office procedures Administer injections as directed Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Coordinate referrals, laboratory orders, follow-up appointments, and patient communications Support patient flow and daily clinic operations Prepare and maintain exam rooms and ensure adequate supply inventory Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and office policies Deliver exceptional patient service and support Phlebotomy & Laboratory Duties Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all ages Accurately label, process, and prepare specimens for testing Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment Follow all infection control and safety protocols Assist with routine laboratory procedures and outside laboratory coordination Insert IVs for therapeutic IV treatments (training available if needed) QualificationsRequired Current CMA or RMA certification Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience Phlebotomy experience Strong clinical and documentation skills Experience with EMR systems Professional communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently Reliable transportation and ability to commute to Ocala, FL Preferred Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Experience in functional, integrative, preventive, or wellness-based medicine IV placement experience Experience working with laboratory equipment and specimen processing Ideal Candidate Traits We are looking for someone who is: Reliable and accountable Positive and team-oriented Compassionate and patient-focused Organized with strong attention to detail Comfortable learning new skills and procedures Interested in functional and integrative medicine
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
