- Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures and best practices
- Explain procedures to patients to foster trust and confidence during specimen collection
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all specimen collection activities
- Perform specimen processing and handling in accordance with safety and quality standards
- Demonstrate professionalism and uphold confidentiality when managing patient information
- Support the team by completing daily tasks accurately and on time under supervision
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment in the clinical setting
- Rotate work schedule to include weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed Required Skills
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong customer service skills for engaging with patients in a caring and professional manner
- Accurate keyboard and data entry skills for maintaining records
- Ability to perform error-free work in a fast-paced environment
- Good organizational and communication skills Additional Skills & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
- Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; over one year preferred
- Customer service experience in retail or service environment is a plus
- Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, with rotational Saturdays
