- Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations
- Prepare specimens for laboratory testing following established procedures
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of collected specimens and patient interactions
- Communicate procedures clearly to patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence
- Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment at all times
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors by focusing on process excellence and confidentiality
- Perform specimen processing duties accurately and efficiently under supervisor guidance
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies and safety standards Required Skills
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong customer service skills in a clinical or retail environment
- Proficient keyboard and data entry skills
- Reliable transportation to and from the worksite within the designated commute time
- Ability to arrive on time and stay for the entire scheduled shift Additional Skills & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington)
- Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
- Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; more than 1 year preferred
- Experience in customer service is preferred
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime
- Candidate must have their own reliable transportation and list their home city and commute time on their resume
